Government investigators, upskill in 2025.

We successfully ran our inaugural investigations training in August 2024. Class members spanned various investigator roles, from a range of local and state government agencies.

Feedback was so positive that we are back in 2025, again delivering our comprehensive four-day advanced government investigations training.

Get exclusive access to Kylie Walsh and Daniel Silfo, your training hosts and renowned Russell Kennedy Principals with many years of experience across local and state government.

Practical and focused

Practical tips, guidance and frameworks from real life practitioners and experienced senior lawyers:

    • How to interpret legislation during an investigation and the importance of the elements of the statutory provision being investigated
    • Commonly used powers, such as powers of entry and search warrants
    • Exercising these powers in an efficient, but defensible way
    • Conducting interviews and ensuring admissibility

We draw on our vast experience as regulatory and compliance legal advisors, prosecutors and trained investigators to deliver a practical and focused advanced investigations program.

    Who should attend?

    • Our advanced program is suitable for all government investigators conducting or overseeing administrative, regulatory and criminal investigations.
    • Investigators who want to further develop their skills and gain a deeper understanding of their role within regulatory investigations.
    • Investigators at all levels of experience, even those who have completed the Certificate IV in Government Investigations.

This advanced training is designed to help investigators further develop the necessary skills to exercise regulatory powers confidently and in a way that ensures that the evidence gathered is admissible in any subsequent proceeding. It is an in-depth workshop style program that takes the fundamentals of an investigation to the next level.
