This webinar is relevant to all people participating in the building and construction industry who manage construction works in the Sydney, Greater Sydney, Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour local government areas.
On 17 July 2021, the NSW Government announced a shutdown of the construction industry until at least 30 July 2021. This webinar will provide an update on the current restrictions and what you can do now to minimise costs and delays with current building and construction projects.
In this webinar, an expert panel from Russell Kennedy’s Dispute Resolution (Building and Construction) team, comprised of Goran Gelic, Walter MacCallum and Kailee Shurmer will provide an overview around how you can develop a strategy for your business to get through the shutdown period.
The topics covered in this webinar will include:
- overview of the current restrictions;
- extensions of time, delay and disruption issues;
- suspension, force majeure and site safety arrangements;
- engagement with stakeholders and supply chains;
- payment obligations, cash flow and solvency risks; and
- employment issues.
