On Friday 24 March 2023, Russell Kennedy hosted Session 5: Victorian Government Land Transactions Policy Update and Lease negotiations tips. This session is worth 1 CPD Point in Substantive Law.

This session was aimed at all government lawyers and investigators.

This session will be split across two key topics.
In the first half hour, Michael Dowling, Special Counsel and Shaun Burmester, Senior Associate, will take a look at the change in the Victorian Government Land Transactions Policy and key differences for Victorian government staff and departments to be across. They will then briefly speak to some practical examples of the application of the policy and its= exemptions. In the second half of the presentation, Samantha Taylor, Principal, and Stella Wild, Principal will consider issues relevant when entering leases including tips and traps for lease negotiations and the application of the Retail Leases Act 2003 (Vic).
