Austin is a litigation lawyer qualified to practice law in Australia and China. He has a wide range of experience in commercial litigation, bankruptcy and corporate insolvency, contractual and property disputes and debt recovery.

Austin is a strong advocate for commercial clients of various sizes and makes frequent appearances in the Supreme, County and Magistrates’ Courts of Victoria. He is also well versed in conducting litigation matters in all other states of Australia and complex cross-border litigation matters.

Austin provides commercially sounds advice to optimise the outcome and resolve disputes for is clients based on his commercial experience gained from working as a business consultant for the Dubai Government and a multinational mining company.

  • Representing a national telecommunication service provider in a wide range of winding up and corporate insolvency proceedings in the Supreme Court of Victoria against other national and international corporations.
  • Acting for liquidators and administrator in liquidation matters, including unfair preference and insolvent trading claims.
  • Representing a national medical finance provider in debt recovery matters and bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Acting for several international motor vehicle manufacturers and their affiliated finance providers in consumer loan disputes and civil recovery proceedings across all states of Australia.
  • Conducted a large-scale defamation trial in the Federal Court of Australia against a publicly listed mass media company.
  • Acted for Owners Corporations in building and construction disputes against builders and construction companies.
  • Representing an international electronic product manufacturer in a cross-border patent litigation.
