Caroline provides legal advice in the area of Leasing and Property and Development.

Caroline drafts commercial and retail leases and licences of office, retail and other commercial premises, complex contracts of sale for developed and semi-developed land, vacant land with development requirements, staged subdivisions of vacant land and built form housing estates, and off the plan multi-level apartment buildings.

Caroline acts for landlords, tenants, developers and investors.

Experience

  • Drafting and negotiating commercial leases and retail leases for part building and whole building premises

  • Drafting and negotiating licences for various uses of land, for example storage, use complementing retail space such as display and seating areas, access for the completion of construction works

  • Drafting and negotiating contracts of sale for commercial and domestic sales

  • Preparing contracts of sale, including off the plan contracts for vacant land, apartment developments, display villages, and house and land packages with third parties

  • Providing advice on creating easements, covenants and memorandum of common provisions concerning the Building Regulations 

  • Advising on owners corporations and drafting appropriate special conditions in contracts of sale
