Katherine is an enthusiastic litigator in the Disputes Resolution team who acts for a broad range of clients in a diverse commercial practice. She approaches cases with passion and empathy.

Katherine understands the importance of creating relationships with her clients, especially during stressful litigation. The need to strategise and run matters with ‘commerciality’ are top of mind for Katherine, and that often involves settling out of court, in order to achieve the best outcomes for her clients. In court, Katherine has experience in all New South Wales jurisdictions and the Federal Court of Australia.

Her specific interests include franchising contract disputes, personal and corporate insolvency, debt recovery, and property disputes. Her passion for the law results in a continuous desire to deepen her knowledge and refine her skillset in all practise areas.


Experience

  • Representing a witness in the recent Inquiry into Greyhound Racing NSW who was called to provide written and oral evidence with only days notice.
  • Successfully obtaining orders for preliminary discovery in the Supreme Court of NSW, before the Duty Judge.
  • Acting for franchisors in respect of contested franchise disputes.
  • Acting for and advising clients in contractual disputes and commencing claims in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Advising clients in respect of debt recovery actions.
  • Acting pro-bono in a complex family related constructive/resulting trust dispute.
