Nick practices in the areas of government, planning and environment. He has a strong background in planning, having worked as a qualified town planner on several major state rail infrastructure projects prior to practicing law. He represents government and private clients in relation to complex government, environment and planning matters.

Experience

  • Providing advice to, and representing, government and private clients in relation to complex government, environment and planning matters, including statutory interpretation, planning scheme amendments, planning approvals, planning appeals, existing use rights, ancillary uses, rates and valuation disputes, development contributions, Aboriginal cultural heritage, heritage, environmental issues, covenants, easements, agreements, major projects, and renewal energy projects.
  • Managing and coordinating cross discipline project and expert teams to achieve desired outcomes, including preparing for, and instructing at, Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, Planning Panels, and Advisory Committees.
