Nick is the Co-Leader of our Renewables team. Nick advises clients on all aspects of their real estate operations including acquisitions and divestment, development, design and construction, structuring and renewables projects.

Nick has considerable expertise in asset and M&A due diligence (buy and sell) including full reliance reporting across commercial, industrial, retail, mixed use and renewables assets. He has been trusted with some of Australia’s largest real estate transactions and has considerable expertise advising developers on project delivery and development agreements, joint ventures, subdivision and off the plan contracts.

Experience

  • Acting for proponents on the development of a 200MW solar farm / 100MW battery storage including Early Contractor Involvement contract, EPC contract, Transmission Connection Agreement, land access agreements and battery purchase agreement
  • Acting for land owners on large scale solar farm projects including competitive bid process, negotiation of long term leases, grazing licences and sale of substation land for a 200MW solar farm
  • Acting for global clients in relation to ESG frameworks and performance including compliance and governance (Modern Slavery, WHS, green leasing and reporting)
  • Acting for developers on project delivery agreements for large scale mixed use developments across western Sydney including stratum subdivision and off the plan contracts
  • Acting for global consumer goods manufacturer on all aspects of their real estate operations across Australia and New Zealand including development of 6 star GreenStar distribution centres, roof top solar installations including negotiation of PPA leasing and services agreements
  • Acting for foreign investor on its acquisition of 2 newly constructed 4 star hotels in Sydney and Melbourne including hotel management agreements
  • Acting for numerous hotel owners in relation to hotel management agreements with global hotel brands
  • Acting for new entrant foreign retailer on its acquisition of shopping centre for redevelopment and leasing new sites for its retail rollout
  • Acting for a private client on its divestment of one of Australia’s largest rural land aggregations
