Nicolle is an Associate in Russell Kennedy’s Government, Planning and Environmental team and primarily practices in the area of land acquisition and compensation. Nicolle is primarily involved in the land acquisition process from acquiring interests, instructing counsel and experts, to reviewing and considering claims for compensation made by affected parties, under the Land Acquisition and Compensation Act 1986 and the Planning and Environment Act 1987.
Prior to joining the firm in 2021, Nicolle worked in general commercial litigation, acting for both plaintiffs and defendants in a range of matters including general commercial disputes, debt recovery, insolvency, property damage claims, and breaches of the Australian Consumer Law. The matters Nicolle acted in ranged from complex large scale litigation to smaller high frequency claims. Nicolle has experience in all courts, including the Magistrates Court, County Court, Supreme Court, and the Federal Circuit Court, as well as the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
