Samuel has a broad range of experience assisting commercial, education, not-for-profit and local government employers in all aspects of employment and workplace relations matters, including workplace disputes, performance and disciplinary matters, and the interpretation of awards and enterprise agreements.

Samuel is accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria as a specialist in Workplace Relations Law, and takes a practical and strategic approach to resolving workplace issues.

Experience

  • Acting for clients in unfair dismissal and general protection proceedings in the Fair Work Commission and the Courts.
  • Advising on workplace investigations, disciplinary matters, and termination of employment.
  • Assisting employers with the interpretation of Awards and Enterprise Agreements, and acting for clients in pay disputes.
  • Providing strategic advice on redundancies, restructures and the employment aspects of business transfers.
  • Assisting clients to manage long term ill and injured employees.
  • Representing clients in equal opportunity, discrimination and sexual harassment claims.
  • Assisted clients to manage employee shareholder disputes.
