Not-for-profit Video Alert: Revitalising Boards through Remuneration, Rotations and Succession Planning

Jonathan Teh

Earlier this year, Russell Kennedy Principal Jonathan Teh presented at the 2021 Better Boards Conference. His presentation covered a range of areas around how to revitalise Boards through remuneration, rotations and succession planning.

As part of this presentation, Jonathan discussed:

  • when director remuneration can legally be paid by not-for-profits;
  • understanding the benefits of using remuneration to attract talent, and the associated governance risks;
  • how to plan for director retirement, election cycles and rotations; and
  • practical tips for difficult succession discussions, such as limiting how long a director may serve.

The presentation will help you put together a plan for a physical revitalisation of your Board. If you would like a copy of the slides, please contact Russell Kennedy’s events team at events@rk.com.au.
