In this short 2 minute video, Russell Kennedy principal Rosemary Southgate interviews retirement living principal Donna Rayner. Donna answers the following questions relating to privacy issues which retirement living operators need to know in the current COVID-19 circumstances.

  • Is there an obligation on residents in the retirement village to tell the operator or disclose if they have some sort of disease like COVID-19?
  • If a resident tells you they have COVID-19 or some other sort of disease, are you as an operator entitled to let other residents know that? As the operator, are you entitled to let your staff know that? How should operators approach this situation?
