Russell Kennedy has advised JamJar Investments on its participation in Who Gives A Crap’s A$41.5 million Series A capital raising.
JamJar Investments is a venture capital firm, headquartered in London, founded in 2012. JamJar Investments provides investment to early-stage companies in the consumer technology and FMCG sectors.
Who Gives A Crap (Good Goods Holdings Pty Limited) is an Australian “profit-for-purpose” eco-friendly company that manufactures toilet paper and other paper products and donates 50% of its profits to projects that provide clean water, toilets and sanitation products in developing economies. The business was launched in 2012.
The latest investment round was led by Verlinvest, the family-owned investment group behind Oatly and Tony’s Chocolonely. In addition to JamJar Investments, other investors included Grok Ventures, Craftory, Airtree Ventures and Giant Leap.
This new capital will be engaged to fund the continued growth and expansion of the business, helping accelerate their mission to donate funds to ensure access to clean water for the 2 billion globally who are still drinking from water sources contaminated by human waste.
The Russell Kennedy team was jointly led by Principals Rory Maguire and Andrew Parlour from the firm’s Corporate Advisory / M&A team.
