Russell Kennedy is committed to growing capacity and capability in core industries, enhancing and facilitating opportunities for our clients. Russell Kennedy continues to expand in a commercial environment that in the past year has delivered both significant challenges and opportunities for law firms.

This continued focus on growth has seen our firm grow to 52 Principals, with an additional 5 principals joining the partnership in 2022, both through promotion from within our own ranks and from other firms. These lawyers are experts in their sectors and are leaders in their chosen areas of law. Each brings unique their own special experience and insight to you, our clients.

These promotions are in response to demands of our clients, ensuring we have people with expertise across a range of industries. We aim to provide our clients with the right people and resources to achieve their business objectives.

Nahum Ayliffe – Dispute Resolution, Insolvency & Restructuring
Nahum is an experienced commercial litigator and leading insolvency lawyer within Russell Kennedy’s insolvency team in Melbourne. He regularly acts for external administrators and bankruptcy trustees, creditors, company directors and shareholders in insolvency and restructuring matters.

Cameron Cox – Personal Injury & Compensation
Cameron advises and represents employers, insurers and the Victorian WorkCover Authority in relation to recoveries proceedings, serious injury applications, common law damages and statutory benefit disputes.

Ilana Kacev – Wills & Estates
Ilana is a Law Institute Wills & Estates Accredited Specialist. Ilana’s well rounded experience across all aspects of estate matters enables her to provide her clients with strategic and objective advice in relation to both estate planning and disputes.

Rima Newman – Workplace relations, employment and safety
Rima joined Russell Kennedy in March this year. She brings a wealth of experience in employment law, industrial relations, discrimination and equal opportunity law and occupational health and safety across Australia. She has worked in the employment and industrial relations field for over 20 years.

Gina Tresidder – Intellectual Property, IT & Privacy
Gina specialises in all aspects of intellectual property. She acts for clients in a diverse range of industries including fast moving consumer goods, medical products, healthcare, industrial and automotive products, media, marketing, food and hospitality, property development, franchising, fashion, insurance, financial services, government and technology.
