Russell Kennedy’s M&A team have acted for Belle Property in relation to its acquisition of WA real estate business, Acton. Russell Kennedy advised Belle Property on the acquisition financing aspects (via capital raising), and also assisted Norton Rose (Perth) on various sale aspects.
Under the transaction, Belle Property Group merged with one of Western Australia’s leading real estate networks, Acton. As a result of the merger, Belle Property now boasts upward of 160 agencies across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and the Australian Capital Territory. The strategic move provides the Belle Property network’s push for national coverage and it follows their first step into the Western Australian market earlier this year when it opened up an office in Broome.
Acton was established in 1969 with a vision to create an elite, professional boutique real estate group and has established itself as an iconic Western Australian real estate brand. Acton will also operate independently, and without competition, as part of the network.
