On Wednesday 20 April 2022, we hosted the Russell Kennedy Family Law webinar: A practical guide on how to navigate child support this webinar was aimed towards any parent or caregiver who has or might have an obligation to pay child support or might be entitled to receive child support.

In this webinar, Maria Gomes provided a practical guidance on what is child support, what child support covers and what obligations exist and the types of agreements for child support payments.

The presentation provided an overview of:

  • child support obligations and the calculation of child support;
  • the difference between Limited vs Binding Child Support Agreements and a child support assessment through the agency; and
  • a list of additional expenses which may be included in a private child support agreement.
