National law firm Russell Kennedy has elevated 18 to senior ranks in its latest promotion cycle, including one to principal and four to special counsel.
Tanya Bloom joins the partnership after two years with the firm. Working in the Insurance and Compensation team, she has a deep understanding of personal injury, litigation, insurance law, employer liability, and risk management, honed throughout her impressive 15-year career here and abroad. Her strategic acumen has played a pivotal role in securing successful outcomes for clients and fostering the professional growth of junior team members.
Her appointment brings the partnership to 52, with lateral hires Stella Wild, Dermott Lynch and Nick Finlayson also joining the firm in recent months. Women now represent 46 per cent of principals, up from 28 per cent when the firm’s first gender equality strategy was released in 2017.
Abbey Burns, Emma Fitzgibbon, Kate Littlewood, and Michael Tsiavlis have been promoted to special counsel with six elevated to senior associate and seven to associate.
“Our people are our greatest asset. We believe in providing them with meaningful opportunities to excel in their careers and develop into future leaders. These promotions not only celebrate the individual achievements of these outstanding lawyers, but also reinforce our unwavering commitment to investing in people so they can reach their full potential,” said Managing Director, Paul Gleeson.
As Russell Kennedy continues to expand its reach and enhance its capabilities, it remains dedicated to attracting and retaining top talent and embracing emerging trends and technologies. The firm's focus on high performance, innovation, connectivity, and professional development ensures its lawyers are equipped with the skills and resources needed to address complex legal challenges for clients, both now and into the future.
All promotions are effective from 1 July 2023.
